Joe Darby:
True Patriot
Dear Mr. Darby,
It was heartwarming to
watch your story on 60 Minutes this evening, and to learn that
your moral judgment rose above your need to please your buddies at Abu
Ghraib. I am very sorry that so many of your colleagues and some
family members have chosen to make life very difficult for you.
However, please know that there are many Americans, like my husband, and
some non-Americans, like me, who applaud you for what you did and are
proud of you.
Living with integrity is
far more important than pleasing people who display sadistic, vengeful
and adversarial behaviors to others.
We wish you and your wife
much peace, knowing that you acted honorably.
